Research question

Can strong, unique credentials be made easier to use without concentrating every password inside a single high-value vault?

This theme covers conventional password managers as well as store-less approaches such as HIPPO, where credentials can be derived when needed rather than stored in a traditional password vault. The research examines cryptographic protection, password generation, synchronization, recovery, device provisioning, trust, and usability to understand how credential managers can provide stronger protection while remaining practical for everyday use.
